Downtown Image and Branding
Presenters:
- Carolyn Deluttri, Executive Director of Evmark
- Naletta Burr, Planner and Economic Development Consultant with Dimension IV
Description: In light of today's economic downturn, it becomes increasingly important for Wisconsin's downtowns to think about better ways to market and brand themselves. This program provides participants with an opportunity to learn about the ways in which downtowns can respond through focused branding strategies and image development. The presenters will share their own experiences working on various elements of image and branding campaigns, examine how image development and branding overlaps with marketing, public relations, and even physical design of your downtown. Successful efforts will be showcased leading to the identification of basic steps that Wisconsin communities can adopt in packaging their downtowns to provide better experiences for residents, workers and visitors to their community.
