Open GovernmentSo important is open government to the successful administration of a democracy, with specific laws in the State of Wisconsin requiring it, that the Local Government Center provides an entire annual WisLine series on the topic, as well as talks at our Towns and Counties workshops on specific topics. It is a first order of business for a new official to learn the requirements for open government, to avoid committing unintentional breaches of law or ethics or making a local government liable for adverse consequences.
