2017 Board of Review Training
The Local Government Center has prepared the 2017 Board of Review Training DVD with the cooperation and guidance of the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. The video presents a dramatization of a complete two-hour meeting of a Board of Review in the fictional village of Kayso, Wisconsin. The meeting is split into nine scenes. After each scene our panel of experts discusses it and reviews important points about Board of Review procedures. Viewing this video will satisfy the statutory training requirement to conduct a valid Board of Review.
The video will be available for purchase from the Local Government Center in March 2017.
New Look for Print
You may have noticed that brochures from the Local Government Center are taking on a new look. The Center has been working with the UW-Extension’s Environmental Resources Center staff to update the logo and add some other icons to highlight the areas of expertise the Local Government Center offers. The graphic below incorporates the main logo and these icons:

New Look for Web
The server that hosted our existing website is at the end of its lifespan. When Tech Services gave us the bad news about our old server going away, they offered the good news that they already had the software, visual format, and know-how to help the Center move to a WordPress site on a new server.
Enter our same URL, http://lgc.uwex.edu and get to the homepage with our most recent teleconference, workshop, and training offerings, other informational posts.
